The Basics about Community Service

For the Bellevue School District, you must turn in a required minimum of 40 hours of community service. There is a specific form to fill out for these minimum 40 hours, found in the counseling center. It is a full-sized sheet of paper, labeled at the top “NOTE: This form is to use for graduation requirement ONLY.

Saints Community Connections (SCC) is another way you can receive recognition for community service at Interlake. You can receive credit for this program with the hours used for your graduation requirement, if you fill out both forms. The SCC form is a half-sized sheet of paper, also found in the counseling center. This form is labeled “Saint’s Community Connections” at the top of the paper. For these hours, a maximum of 14 hours per day is accepted, but travel time is not to be included in the volunteer hours submitted.

There are three rewards available from the SCC program.
After completing:
100 hours, you receive the Saints Community Connections Award
300 hours, you receive the Silver Saints Community Connections Award
500 (or more) hours, you receive the Golden Saints Community Connections Award
