SCC Comunity Service Record Form

Community Service @ IHS
All Interlake High School (IHS) students are required by Bellevue School District
(BSD) to perform 40 hours of community service in order to graduate. Contact
your counserlor for more information.
For students who are interested in completing additional community service
hours during their high school years, the IHS PTSA is proud to sponsor
a community service awards program. This optional program is called the
Saints Community Connections (SCC). For more information about the SCC
program, including a comparison of the required BSD program and the optional
SCC program, refer to the information posted on the Community Service Opportunities
bulletin board in the IHS Career Center, the IHS
PTSA website, and the
September edition of the Paw Prints newsletter.
The Community Service Opportunities bulletin board and notebook in the Career
Center are excellent resources for learning about new community service
opportunities. The Community Service Opportunities bulletin board and notebook
are updated regularly, so stop by often to check out the latest opportunities.
A list of local ongoing volunteer opportunities are also posted on the
school and IHS PTSA websites.
A few things to note:
The required hours for the BSD program do not automatically count toward
the optional SCC program. If you want the same hours to count for both programs,
you must complete both the BSD form and SCC form. The SCC program can no
longer accept BSD forms.
Turn in your completed BSD forms to your counselor. Turn in your completed
SCC forms in the SCC box in the Career Center. Don’t delay turning
in your forms.
Although the SCC program accepts volunteer hours that benefit places of worship,
the Bellevue School Distrct cannot accept these hours to complete the graduation
requirement. It is strongly recommended that you receive prior approval from
your counselor before beginning community service hours required for graduation.
A new SCC Community Service Record form has been created to record all future
volunteer hours. You can find these forms in the Career Center or online.
SCC total hours are now posted by graduating class on the Community Service
Opportunities bulletin board in the Career Center. Please stop by to check
your totals.
