Welcome to Math Club! We are looking forward to your participation in our program this year. Math Club is an extracurricular activity, not a class per se, so there will be no grading policy. However, we do expect compliance to both club and school rules. Regular, weekly meetings will be held at 3:05 PM on Fridays in Room 306 (and will generally adjourn at around 4:00 PM) starting at the beginning of the school year till the very end. During these meetings, we will work on various math problems in groups, to sharpen your math skills, which will not only help you in your current math class, but also aid your achievement at competitions, of which we highly recommend to all members. click to return to top |

| Objectives | |
| The purpose of Math Club is to improve your
abilities in various fields of mathematics. Oftentimes, we will be covering
material not found in the school curriculum. But don’t be intimidated.
We highly encourage you to attend tutorials with your math teacher to complement
what we will be instructing on. Throughout the year, you will be given the
opportunity to participate in numerous math lectures and math competitions,
amongst other related activities. click to return to top |

| Attendance Policy | |
| If, for any reason, you are not able to attend
Math Club, please obtain information regarding the meeting you missed by
doing one of the following: contact a friend in Math Club, contact one of
the student officers of Math Club, or contact the faculty advisor, Mr. Nonis.
At most meetings, please sign-in unless instructed otherwise. If you must
leave early, before dismissal, please talk to one of us. Though we try to
accommodate each and every one of you on an occasional basis, regular absences
are strictly prohibited. click to return to top |

| Expectations | |
| Even though Math Club is not a class, it still
should be a priority for you. It is expected that you to be present at as
many meetings as is reasonable for you. Because we reserve the right to
call make-up meetings, you are still expected to be there. At the meetings,
we will be doing various group activities so you will need to maintain a
productive, working environment, and not to talk out of turn. Please silence
all unnecessary electronics. click to return to top |
